Vic: Australia Day plea for end to interstate rivalry

MELBOURNE, Jan 10 AAP - Australia Day was the perfect opportunity for all states to
focus on working cooperatively to benefit the country, Victoria's acting premier John
Thwaites said today.

Australia Day would be an ideal time to put an end to interstate competition and work
together to make progress in many areas including the environment and education and to
cooperate in attracting business, instead of competing.
